The WRC is Ford of Europe's primary motorsport activity. Through the BP-Ford World Rally Team,For the 2006 season Ford entered two Focus RS World Rally Cars on all 16 rounds of the series, driven by double world champions Marcus Grönholm and Timo Rautiainen and fellow Finns Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen. The programme is operated on Ford's behalf by long-term partner M-Sport, the home of the Blue Oval's international rally projects. Ford supports customers throughout various other motorsport activities. These include the FIA Junior World Rally Championship and the Fiesta Sporting Trophy in rallying and the UK Formula Ford Championship, as well as many other grass roots activities across Europe.
This is a truly nice car, the paint is smooth and as far as I can see error free. The undercarriage is lacking from adequate detail bring this from a collectable to a starter car, for the young collector or a diorama car. In either case this is well worth the asking price and a worthy piece to add to your display or for a young collectors shelf
The top of the car is lacking the fine details you would find in a high end collector car but would make a fine addition to any slot car diorama you might own. The roll bars and interior of the car is very well done, in fact it would make any young collector gaze for an extended time to insure they took it all in. The doors open and close smoothly and cleanly with little wobble or play. The door jam painting is a bit askew and lacking the true collector finish. I was impressed by the gauge cluster, how readable it was, for such an inexpensive car that is an outstanding feature. The paint and interior are the strong points for this car, the undercarriages lack of detail is the week point.
This is a car I would own and enjoy; I would have no problem buying this piece for my son/daughter to start them in the exciting hobby of die-cast collecting.Is this car worth the price?
